Design
The first thing I realised about the design of DiscoverMagazine is how simple it is. The website literally only has one main colour on the homepage which is orange. The simplistic design helps steer away from clutter and unnceccesary elements of the website.
Usability
The website is very user friendly in terms of usability. The navigation clearly shows the main categories of website. Once a category is clicked it will load a page which has the latest news from that section. On the homepage there are sections for blogs, articles and departments. All the user has to do is scroll down to see these sections.
Navigation
The navigation is very easy to use, just underneath the header of the website there is a nice and simple navigation. It features a rollover effect so you know which category you are choosing when you roll over with your mouse, the navigation stays stationary throughout the whole website so you can jump to other sections or to the homepage with one click. As a user, I had no difficulties with the navigation.
